AB611 armoured car (Italian)

Description

The Autoblinda AB611 was an Italian armoured car developed in 1932 for colonial use and by the Regio Esercito (Royal Army). Built on the Fiat 611C truck chassis, it featured a 6×4 wheel configuration with both front and rear driving stations for quick manoeuvrability. The AB611 was armed with a 37mm Vickers-Terni gun and two 6.5mm machine guns. Its Armor provided protection against small arms fire and shrapnel. Despite its robust design, the AB611’s heavy weight and low speed limited its effectiveness in combat.
