Description

The USSR and the Cossacks have a long and not always pleasant relationship. During the civil war following the Russian Revolution, Cossacks fought on both the Red (pro-communist) and White (anti-communist) sides. Likewise, in WWII they fought both for and against (with Germany) the Soviet Union.
