The massive shells weighed 330kg and were 1.5m long with the large recoil requiring that the mortar base was embedded in an earth bank

Bill Bodin –
This item has no more business being deployed on a Bolt Action table than a railroad gun or a costal artillery battery. It had to be built in to its site and could not be moved afterwards. If it must be used at all it should be as an option for an FAO to call in instead of heavy howitzer fire. I play Japanese and I think it is ridiculous to deploy this thing on the table in any way other than scenic.
