Description
The M272 casemate was a fortified gun emplacement constructed by Nazi Germany as part of the Atlantik Wall coastal defences during the Second World War. Designed to house the powerful 15cm TbtsK C/36 naval gun, originally intended for destroyers, the M272 provided robust protection and strategic firepower against Allied naval and amphibious assaults.
Built from reinforced concrete, the structure featured thick walls, an armoured embrasure, and internal compartments for ammunition storage, crew quarters, and fire control equipment. Positioned to command key coastal approaches, the casemate allowed for a wide field of fire and was integrated into a network of bunkers, observation posts, and anti-aircraft positions. The C/36 gun offered a range of over 20 kilometres, making it a formidable threat to enemy vessels.
This model has a removable roof and/or floors for access.
Please note that these are designed to be built into terrain, gaming boards and so can be quite deep – please contact us if you require them to be lower to the tabletop and we will shorten them before printing to save material and cost for you.
