Regelbau R677 casemate

Description

The R677 was a reinforced concrete casemate constructed by Nazi Germany as part of the Atlantik Wall coastal defence system during the Second World War. Designed to house either the 7.5 cm Pak 40 or the more powerful 8.8 cm Pak 43/41 anti-tank gun, it provided a fortified position for engaging enemy armour and landing craft.

The structure featured a frontal embrasure for the gun, thick blast-resistant walls, and internal space for the gun crew, ammunition storage, and operational equipment. Its layout allowed for direct fire across beaches, roads, and approach routes, making it a key component in Germany’s layered defence strategy.

The R677 was often positioned to cover vulnerable flanks or reinforce strongpoints near landing zones. Its compact yet robust design enabled effective resistance against Allied assaults.

This model has a removable roof and/or floors for access.

Please note that these are designed to be built into terrain, gaming boards and so can be quite deep – please contact us if you require them to be lower to the tabletop and we will shorten them before printing to save material and cost for you.
