Renault 10CV Type MH 6×4 (French)

Description

The Renault 10CV Type MH (6×4) was a French military transport vehicle developed in the 1930s to provide reliable mobility for troops and equipment. Based on Renault’s proven 10CV platform, the MH variant incorporated a six‑wheel, four‑drive configuration that offered improved traction and stability across rough terrain.

Powered by a four‑cylinder petrol engine of around 2.1 litres, it delivered modest performance but was valued for its robustness and adaptability. The vehicle could carry up to six soldiers with their gear, making it suitable for reconnaissance, staff transport, and light logistical duties.

Entering service before the outbreak of the Second World War, the Type MH was employed during the 1940 campaign in France, where its cross‑country capability was an asset in rapidly shifting battle conditions. After France’s defeat, surviving examples were often taken into German service.
