Volkssturm Rifle Squad (German)

Description

The Volkssturm were a last ditch attempt by Germany to create a militia during the later days of the war. Often equipped with obsolete or inadequate weaponry, little to no training or leadership, Volkssturm were pitted against Allied forces during fighting in Berlin, Konigsberg, Breslau and others. They generally suffered appalling casualties though some Volkssturm would also simply abandon their weapons and disappear from the battlefield.
