AEC Heavy Cockatrice (British)

Description

The Heavy Cockatrice was an armoured flamethrower based on a 6 wheeled lengthened Matador chassis. It was one of a number of vehicle mounted flamethrowers trialled by the Petroleum Warfare Department in the wake of Dunkirk. Six were built but didn’t didn’t see any action.
