Description

The Büssing‑NAG 4500 S was a German 4.5‑ton truck designed to meet the Wehrmacht’s need for a durable, high‑capacity transport vehicle. Its diesel engine offered good torque and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for long supply routes on the Eastern Front. The truck’s strong chassis allowed it to carry heavy loads, though deep mud and snow could challenge its mobility. Many were adapted as mobile workshops, radio vehicles, or troop carriers. Crews appreciated its reliability and straightforward maintenance. The 4500 S became one of Germany’s most important medium trucks, supporting frontline operations and sustaining extended campaigns.
