The Dodge WC‑54 ambulance was the standard American front‑line medical vehicle of the Second World War, widely used by the U.S. Army and Allied forces. Built on the dependable Dodge ¾‑ton chassis, it featured a spacious, well‑insulated medical body capable of carrying four stretcher cases or several seated wounded. Its robust engine, good ground clearance, and reliable four‑wheel drive made it effective in varied climates, from Europe to the Pacific.
