Faun ZR Tractor (German)

Description

The German Faun ZR was a heavy tractor designed to tow large artillery pieces and engineering equipment. Built with a powerful engine and reinforced frame, it excelled at hauling loads that lighter vehicles could not manage. Its slow speed and bulky size limited tactical flexibility, but it provided essential support for siege guns and heavy field artillery. The Faun ZR’s mechanical reliability was generally strong, though its weight made it difficult to recover if bogged down. Crews valued its pulling strength and stable handling. Throughout the war, it remained a key component of German heavy artillery logistics.
