Description
The Fiat 3000 was Italy’s first mass-produced tank, modeled after the French Renault FT. Entering service in 1921, the Mod 21 variant was armed with two 6.5 mm machine guns and had a top speed of 21 km/h. It featured a 50 hp engine and was used extensively in the 1920s and 1930s. The Mod 30 variant, introduced in 1930, included significant upgrades: a 37 mm gun, a more powerful 65 hp engine, and improved suspension. The Mod 30 also had a redesigned engine compartment and better external storage. Both models saw action in various conflicts, including the Second Italo-Abyssinian War and World War II.
