Description

The Renault UE was a small French tracked supply tractor widely captured after 1940. Germany used thousands of them for logistics, ammunition transport, and towing light weapons. Their compact size and reliability made them ideal for moving supplies to frontline positions, especially in urban or constrained terrain. Some were modified to carry machine guns or mount light anti‑tank weapons for security duties. Although slow and lightly built, the UE(f) became one of the most common captured French vehicles in German service, proving invaluable for non‑combat roles and freeing German‑built vehicles for more demanding tasks.
