Description
During World War II, the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) had it’s own branches of infantry that were comparable to the US Marines. The infantry scouts of the SNLF (Special Naval Landing Force) would land in advance of proposed amphibious assaults and provided valuable information regarding defences, troops numbers etc.
