Description
The German Stuka (Junkers Ju 87) was a dive bomber used extensively by Nazi Germany during World War II. Notable for its inverted gull wings and wailing sirens, it was designed for precision bombing, terrorizing enemy troops during early Blitzkrieg campaigns. Equipped with forward-firing machine guns and a bomb rack under the fuselage, the Stuka excelled in close air support but was slow and vulnerable to faster Allied fighters. Despite its psychological impact and initial battlefield success, its effectiveness declined as air superiority shifted to the Allies.
