L3/35 tankette (Italian)

Description

The L3/35 was a light tank (or tankette) originally based on the British Carden-Lloyd carrier and developed in 1933 (as the L3/33). The L3/35 replaced the single MG of the 33 with a pair of 8mm MGs. A small and very light vehicle, the L3/35 extensive use by many countries in the Austrian Civil War, Second Sino-Japanese War, Second Italo-Abyssinian War, Spanish Civil War, Greco-Italian War, Slovak–Hungarian War, Invasion of Albania and the Anglo-Iraqi War. It also saw service in the Western Desert during WWII.

The CC anti-tank variant was also developed by substituting the MGs for a 20mm Solothurn AT rifle.
