Description
Where concrete and other building materials are scarce, or fortification need to be thrown up quickly (or cheaply!), timber is often the material of choice. Since guns and artillery entered the battlefield, one kind or another of log bunker have been used by many armies.
During WWII various countries made use of simply built timber defences, primarily Finland during the Winter War and Japan in the PTO.
This large log bunker is suitable for a unit on a 60mm base such as mortars (without the roof!) or MMG teams.
In order to aid with placing models inside, this is designed with a removable roof.
