M3 GMC (British)

Description

The M3 Gun Motor Carriage was an American self‑propelled anti‑tank vehicle mounting a 75‑mm gun on an M3 half‑track chassis. Open‑topped and lightly armoured, it relied on mobility and firepower rather than protection. Used in North Africa, Italy, and the Pacific, it provided effective support against early enemy armour and fortified positions. As tank designs improved, its gun became less competitive, but it remained useful for infantry support.
