Description
The Model 1927 76mm field gun was a smaller, lightweight howitzer used by the Red Army in WWII. It had very limited AT capability as it could also use a HEAT shell, but this was an absolute last resort.Â
Despite its calibre, the barrel and breech were not capable of using the same shells as other 76mm guns and so a reduced propellant shell had to be used.Â
It was an easily portable and popular weapon that remained in use throughout the war despite newer models being introduced.
