Mushroom pillbox

Description

In addition to the standard types and variations of pillboxes, there are also a number of specialised  variants in different areas of the country. One such type are the “mushroom” pillboxes used for airfield defence. So called because of the rounded roof on a central stem, “mushroom” pillboxes were generally found around airfields and allowed for 360 degree cover from a pair of machine mounted on a internal rail.

In order to aid with placing models inside, this is designed without an interior blast wall, and with a removable roof.
