Description
During World War II, Opel Blitz radio trucks played a vital role in German military communications. Based on the robust 3-ton Type A chassis, these vehicles featured a van body known as the Einheitskofferansbau, constructed from wood and compressed card to conserve metal. Adapted for cross-country use, they housed powerful radio equipment for artillery staff, enabling mobile command operations. Inside, personnel could plot fire missions, consult artillery tables, and coordinate battlefield communications.
