PaK 43 88mm heavy anti-tank gun (German)

Description

The PaK 43 was Germany’s most powerful 88 mm anti‑tank gun of the Second World War, entering service in 1943. Designed by Krupp, it featured a long L/71 barrel, semi‑automatic breech, and extremely high muzzle velocity, giving it exceptional armour‑penetration capability. It could defeat any Allied tank, including the Soviet IS‑series, at long range. Around 2,100 units were produced, with variants including the PaK 43/41 and the KwK 43 tank gun used on vehicles such as the Tiger II, Elefant, Jagdpanther, and Nashorn. Despite its heavy weight, it proved devastatingly effective on the battlefield.
