Description
The Panzerjäger I was Germany’s first tank destroyer, developed during World War II. It was based on the Panzer I chassis and armed with a 4.7 cm PaK(t) anti-tank gun. This vehicle was designed to provide mobile anti-tank capabilities to German forces. The Panzerjäger I saw action in the early years of the war, including the invasions of France and the Soviet Union. Its open-top design left the crew vulnerable to enemy fire and harsh weather conditions. Despite its limitations, it played a crucial role in the early successes of the German Blitzkrieg tactics.
