SdKfz 7-2 3.7cm (German)

Description

The Sd.Kfz. 7/2 mounted the 3.7cm FlaK 36 or 37 on the Sd.Kfz. 7 half‑track, offering greater range and hitting power than the 20mm guns. It provided mobile air defence for armoured units and supply columns, particularly useful against medium‑altitude aircraft. The vehicle’s mobility allowed rapid redeployment, while the gun’s accuracy made it effective in both anti‑aircraft and ground‑support roles. Armour protection was limited, but its firepower compensated. As Allied air attacks intensified, the Sd.Kfz. 7/2 became increasingly valuable, though produced in smaller numbers than the 7/1 variant.
