Katyusha rocket launcher (Soviet)

Description

Based on the chassis of a ZIS-6 truck, the Katyusha is a World War II Soviet multiple rocket launcher and an iconic military vehicle, to the extent that it has lent it’s name as a catch-all to all post-war truck based launchers.

While less accurate than traditional guns, the Katyusha excelled at saturation bombardments, with a group of four vehicles firing a combined payload of over 4 tonnes of HE within 10 seconds before being able to rapidly relocate to prevent counterbattery fire.
