Description
The Steyr 1500 was a versatile German light truck used during World War II. Developed by Steyr-Daimler-Puch, it featured a 3.5-liter V8 engine and four-wheel drive, making it suitable for various terrains.
The Steyr 1500A variant was a troop carrier, capable of transporting eight soldiers. Another variant, the Kommandeurwagen Kfz 21, served as a command car with additional radio equipment. The ambulance variant, known as the Krankenwagen, was used for medical evacuations.
Despite its open-top design, which left the crew vulnerable, the Steyr 1500 was valued for its reliability and adaptability in different roles.
