Description

The Czech Tatra T111 was a heavy truck renowned for its exceptional off‑road performance, thanks to its air‑cooled V12 engine and unique backbone‑tube chassis. Introduced during the war, it became highly valued by German forces for transporting heavy loads across difficult terrain, especially on the Eastern Front. The T111’s rugged suspension and powerful engine allowed it to operate in extreme cold where other vehicles struggled. Although complex to manufacture, it proved extremely reliable in service. After the war, it continued production for civilian and military use, becoming one of Tatra’s most iconic and enduring heavy transport vehicles.
