Description
The Unic P107 was a French half‑track captured in large numbers after 1940. Germany converted many into armoured personnel carriers designated U 304(f), adding armour plating and sometimes weapons. These vehicles served mainly with the 21st Panzer Division in Normandy, supporting infantry and towing guns. Although less capable than German‑designed half‑tracks, they offered useful mobility and protection, especially in terrain unsuitable for wheeled vehicles. Their varied configurations reflected German improvisation with captured equipment and it saw use as a radio vehicle, an APC and mobile AT & AA platforms.
