ZIS-3 76mm anti-tank gun – winter (Soviet)

Description

The ZIS-3 divisional gun was the most numerous Soviet field gun of World War II with over 100,000 being produced. When first introduced it far outmatched the German armour it was facing, but as the Panther and Tiger tanks appeared, it’s effectiveness lessened as the frontal armour of the Big Cats was immune to the ZIS-3 AP round. However, it remained popular with troops as it was light, reliable, rugged and easy to use.
