Description

The Churchill ARK was a specialised engineering vehicle designed to act as a mobile bridge. Its turret was removed and ramps fitted at both ends, allowing other vehicles to drive over its hull to cross obstacles such as anti‑tank ditches or damaged bridges. The ARK retained the Churchill’s heavy armour, enabling it to operate close to enemy fire during assaults. Although slow, it was extremely reliable and provided a practical solution to battlefield mobility challenges. The ARK played a key role in Allied operations in Northwest Europe, supporting armoured advances through difficult terrain and fortified areas.

NOTE: The chains and other parts for the mobile version of this model are especially fine and will require some degree of modelling skill at scales smaller than 28mm, possible even replacing with alternate fine metal chain or similar.
