Destroyed Panzer IV H (German)

Description

The Panzer IV Ausf. H was one of Germany’s most important medium tanks of the late war. Introduced in 1943, it featured improved armour, Schürzen side skirts, and the long‑barrelled 7.5cm KwK 40 L/48 gun capable of defeating most Allied armour. Although slower than earlier variants due to increased weight, it remained reliable and adaptable. The Ausf. H served on all major fronts, from the Eastern Front to Normandy, and was valued for its balanced combination of firepower, protection, and ease of production. Despite being outclassed by newer Allied tanks, it remained a backbone of German armoured forces.
