The Dodge WC‑64 ambulance was a vital U.S. Army medical vehicle during World War II. Introduced in 1943, it featured an extended wheelbase and an improved rear compartment that allowed easier loading and better space for medical equipment. Powered by a dependable 230‑cubic‑inch inline‑six engine, it could transport four stretcher patients or up to seven seated wounded soldiers. Its rugged design, four‑wheel‑drive capability, and straightforward maintenance made it reliable in harsh front‑line conditions.
