Description
The Isuzu Type 94 ambulance was a light, truck‑based medical vehicle used by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War. Built on the Isuzu Type 94 6‑wheeled chassis, it transported wounded soldiers from front‑line positions to field hospitals. Its simple, rugged construction allowed it to operate on rough terrain, though it lacked the space and comfort of Western counterparts. The interior typically accommodated several stretcher cases or seated patients, with minimal medical equipment. Despite its limitations, the Type 94 played a vital logistical role, helping sustain Japanese forces by ensuring casualties could be evacuated and treated more efficiently across distant battle zones.
