Description

The SPA TL 37 was a WWII Italian light artillery tractor. The basic chassis was also used as the basis for other vehicles including the AS 37 truck. In addition to the standard truck body, some variants were also fitted with different guns creating portee vehicles, including a 20mm Breda autocannon, similar to those fielded by the LRDG. Another variant of the chassis was the S37 Autoprotetto.

A short wheelbase, 4WD and large wheels made them well suited to the North African terrain and they were generally popular with their crews. Around 800 were built in total.
