Bison – Type 2 (British)

Description

The Bison was an improvised vehicle developed during WWII. They were created using old lorry chassis with a concrete armoured cab and pillbox mounted on the rear. The Type 2 had it’s cab and pillbox separated, whereas the Type 3 merged them as a single large block.

There were many variations as different companies used whatever chassis they could obtain. They were used in airfield defence and occasionally by Home Guard units to defend roadblocks etc
